Learning alongside the fun. Sometimes activities are seen as a separate part of any educational programme. However, we feel they can be used very effectively to help develop a whole range of experiences.
The activities will provide a mix of opportunities involving problem solving, decision making, working as a team, etc and whilst retaining the fun element of the activities there are a number of different attitudes that can be encouraged.
Your week can be as full and active as you wish. Our programme is a mix of fun and learning, with plenty of onsite activities and a day where you have the choice of ‘doing your own thing’ on or off site; or going off site to do some of the following activities – high ropes, low ropes, kayaking, raft and bridge building or climbing and caving.
Therefore, whether you are on a mini-beast safari, taking aim at archery, singing round the camp fire or walking along the River Parrett, there will be something exciting to fill your time away.
A Momento of your Residential:
Each pupil will be able to create their own Residential Folder, consisting of quizzes,report/journal sheets, certificates, as well as their own special memories. Materials for all activities are provided by us (including printed worksheets, pens, sellotape etc).
We will give you a disc with photos of your visit (photos taken with prior permission from the school) and arrange a visit after your residential to present you with a framed group photo.
